And Now... We Wait!

This last few weeks has felt like an absolute flurry of activity - indeed, months! Writing, rehearsing, kicking about ideas, rehearsing some more, finalising, recording, mixing, recording some more, gigs, listening back, suggesting tweaks, listening back again, more tweaks, finalising approved recordings, tinkering with artwork, writing out lyrics, album notes, submitting to digital platforms, tweaking some more... sending stuff to CD printing place.. planning launch teaser material, album-related merch...

... now we're in limbo, if I log onto our Spotify Artist profile there's a countdown ticking down - as I type: 28 days, 21 hours, 22 minutes and 25 seconds. Considering we were (we largely being Russ and Alan, everyone else was pretty sanguine!) pretty concerned about our self-imposed deadline of 26th April it appears we've been able to hit that target really easily. The 'wrinkles in the road' allowances somewhat over-exaggerated it seems.

Alan has found things like the option to add animated backgrounds to our songs on Spotify so has been doing that, as well as beefing up our profile on there with some photos, linking it to our BandsInTown page to list upcoming live dates and generally sprucing the place up a bit. With Russ on one of his very rare holidays, and the possibility of Warren snagging football tickets next week even rehearsals have taken a bit of a hiatus.

Of course, once we have nice shiny new CDs we'll need to number and sign some of them, and there's still quite a lot of decision-making to do with merch ideas going on behind the scenes, so there's plenty going on it just feels a bit like a lull after a veritable storm of activity. I'm sure that will change soon enough!

In the meantime we've planned to reveal some more details about the album next week - starting with what we've decided to call it, so keep an eye out across our social media for more information on that as it lands, and we have a few other little surprises to drop between then and the launch on 26th April too... we're so excited and actually knowing we've finished the recordy bit only heightens how eager we are to share it with you!
